Procedures
• Apllication for admission to courses should be made in the prescribed application form which is available, along with the prospectus in the office.
• Incomplete application forms will not be accepted. All the details given by the candidates in the application form should be accurate.
• Foreign students must also enclose copies of.
• No objection certificate from HRD government of India.
• Eligible certificate from the concerned University.
• Valid student visa and passport.
• Police verification report.
• Residential permission to stay in India.
• The selected candidates should deposit all the original certificates in college and they will not be returned till the completion of course. They are therefore advised to take sufficient number of photo copies of all the certificates before submitting the originals to the college.
• Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Trainees who are dismissed on disciplinary ground will forfeit the entire fees paid to the college.
• A trainee once enrolled for the course is expected to complete the same. If a trainess wishes to leave any time before the completion of that course, he/she will have to pay the entire fees for the course duration.
Enclosures
Enclose the following original certificates with the filled-in application
1) Four recent passport size photographs.
2) Enclose 4 photo copies of the following attested by the Gazetted officer
3) 10th mark sheet.
4) 12th mark sheet.
5) Transfer certificate from the Principal of the institution last attended.
6) Conduct certificate from the Principal of the institution last studied.
7) Income and Nativity Certificate.
8) Community certificate issued by a competent authority.
9) UG mark statement(s).
10) UG Degree / Provisional certificate.
11) If PG, PG degree / Provisional certificate and PG mark statement(s).
Eligibility
• A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the degree of bachelor of education (B.Ed.,) if he / she:
Has undergone 10, +2,+3 pattern of study and passed the 10th and 12th examinations conducted by the respective state board or CBSE or any other recognized board of education / examination and UG degree examination of the UGC approved universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the directorate of school education of the secondary / higher secondary educational level.
• Has studied more than one main subject in part 3 (under double/triple major system) of UG degree course. He/she has to choose only one of the main subjects and should have applied for that optional only.
Has passed under double degree/ additional degree programme with three years duration.
• Has qualified in PG degree (5 year integrated course) under 10, +2, +5 pattern of study, In such cases the marks obtained by the candidate In the first 3 years(in major and ancillary subjects alone) of the course alone shall be take into account of admission.
• Candidates who have done their UG degree in applied physics, geo-physics, bio physics and electronics can apply for physical science.
• Candidates who have done their UG degree in bio-chemistry and applied chemistry can apply for the physical sciences.
• Candidates who have done their UG degree in applied mathmetics can apply for Mathematics.
• Candidates who have done their UG degree in bio-technology, plant biology and plant bio technology can apply for biological science.
• Candidates who have done their UG degree in computer science, information technology, computer, computer application. Etc., can apply for computer science.
• Post Graduates in commerce with 50%(irrespective of their UG marks) of marks in PG Degree or in the interdisciplinary subjects which are being declared equivalent by the respective university can apply.
• Candidates who have done their UG level without language Tamil other Indian languages under Part-1 and are awarded degree with English and main subjects concerned need to be considered for admission to B.Ed subject to the condition that they have to qualify in Tamil Language Test conducted by the TNPSC for the purpose of employment.
The following is the cut off marks for the candidates of different categories
Community/Category - OC - Minimum Marks - 50%
Community/Category - BC - Minimum Marks - 45%
Community/Category - MBC/DNC - Minimum Marks - 43%
